Cylinder conveyors serve for the transportation of unit loads, e.g. packages, and also in production and the processing industry. As an example, cylinder conveyors can be used to transport logs to sawmills, large-sized chipboards, steel profiles in sorting plants etc.

Cylinder conveyors can be gravitational or powered, where the drive is provided by an electric drive through the chain drive of individual cylinders.
